Here are the results of my survey about the conventions of Indie music videos as well as other aspects like album posters and demographic information:
I found out that the majority of people (87.5%) who listen to indie music in my survey were female.

Indie music tended to appeal more to teenagers than any other age group as 62.5% of respondents were aged 14-19 years.
100% of respondents had listened to Oasis, followed by Coldplay, The Arctic Monkeys, Mumford and Sons and The Killers in which 87.5% of respondents had listened to.
100% of respondents said that they had seen a vehicle (like a car) in an Indie music video they had watched. 75% of respondents had noticed instruments, a natural setting and high-key lighting in Indie music videos they had seen.
All (100%) of respondents identified love as a theme of Indie music videos. 87.5% noted individualism and freedom as being apparent themes, whilst 75% said optimism was a typical theme of Indie music videos. One participant suggested that friendship was an important theme aswell.
The hero and princess characters were suggested as being conventional of Indie music videos by 100% of respondents. 75% said that the villain character and the artists as observers were typical of the Indie genre.
All participants (100%) said that they mainly watched music videos on youtube. This was followed by 87.5% of respondents saying they mainly watch music videos on T.V.
Answers varied for how long participants watched music videos for as 50% said that they watch music videos for less than 1hour in a typical week, meanwhile, 37.5% watch music videos for 1-3 hours a week.
The release date and album picture were found to be vital features for album posters as 100% expected to find them on an album poster. Album reviews followed with 62.5%.
